Coconut oil weakens on subdued demand

Coconut oil prices fell by Rs 50 per tin at the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today owing to slackened demand against adequate stocks.
However, other edible and non-edible oils moved in a tight range in limited deals and settled around previous levels.
Traders said sluggish demand along with lower advices from producing belts mainly kept pressure on coconut oil prices.
In the national capital, coconut oil declined by Rs 50 to Rs 2,250-2,275 per tin.
Following are today's quotations (in Rs per quintal):
Oilseeds: Mustardseed Rs 2,950-3,050 and Groundnutseed Rs 2,150-2,900. Vanaspati Ghee (15-litre tin) Rs 930-1,070.
Edible oils: Groundnut Mill Delivery (Gujarat) Rs 8,800, Groundnut Solvent Refined (per tin) Rs 1,600-1,650, Mustard expeller (Dadri) Rs 7,300, Mustard Pakki Ghani (per tin) Rs 1,250-1,300, Mustard Kachi Ghani (per tin) Rs 1,300-1,400, sesame mill delivery Rs 8,050, Soyabean Refined Mill Delivery (Indore) Rs 6,750, Soyabean Degum (Kandla) Rs 6,450, Crude Palm Oil (Ex-Kandla) Rs 4,300, Cottonseed Mill Delivery (Haryana) Rs 5,700, Palmolein (RBD) Rs 5,800, Palmolein (Kandla) Rs 5,700 and Coconut (per tin) Rs 2,250-2,275.
Non-edible oils: Linseed Rs 8,500, Castor Rs 9,900-10,000, Neem Rs 5,350-5,450.
