Keylong in Lahaul and Spiti district recorded a low of 0.4 degrees Celsius, while Kalpa and Sundernagar registered minimum temperatures of 1.4 degrees Celsius and 1.5 degrees Celsius respectively, the MeT department here said today.
Manali recorded a low of 2.6 degrees Celsius, followed by Solan 3.5 degrees Celsius, Palampur 5.2 degrees Celsius, Shimla 7.7 degrees Celsius and Dharamsala 9.5 degrees Celsius.
The minimum temperatures stayed between minus 5 and minus 10 degrees Celsius in high altitude areas but day temperatures rose due to dry weather and sunshine.
Thousands of tourists who have thronged Shimla for vacations are in for disappointment as the chance of white Christmas is low. The local MeT office has predicted dry weather in the region up to December 30.
