Cold conditions sweep Punjab, Haryana

Cold weather conditions continued to sweep Punjab and Haryana, with their common capital Chandigarh experiencing a minimum temperature of 8.3 degrees Celsius, a Met department official said today.
Faridkot in Punjab experienced a minimum temperature of 6C, while the minimum temperature in Bathinda settled at 6.6C.
The temperatures in Amritsar and Ludhiana were recorded at 6.4C and 7.7C respectively.
Patiala registered a low of 9C and Gurdaspur 8.5C.
Cold weather conditions also prevailed in Karnal and Hisar in Haryana, with the two places recording below-normal minimum temperatures of 7C and 7.8C respectively.
The minimum temperature in Narnaul was 7.5C, while in Ambala it was 9C.
