Cold makes a comeback in Delhi

The brief respite on the first day of the new year gave way to biting cold in the national capital with the minimum temperature plummeting to 5 degrees Celsuis today, two notches below normal.
The maximum temperature was recorded at 18.3 degrees Celsius.
The humidity level oscillated betweern 100 per cent (maximum) and 51 per cent (minimum), the weathermen said.
The city woke up to shallow and moderate fog with clear sky in the morning. As the day progressed, the fog cleared.
Yesterday, the minimum temperature had settled at 10.4 degrees Celsius, three notches above normal. The maximum was recorded two notches below normal at 18.2 degrees Celsius.
The MeT department has predicted that the maximum and minimum temperatures would remain at 18 degrees Celsius and 4 degrees Celsius respectively.
