The residents of the national
capital today woke up to clear skies with the minimum temperature settling at 14.2 degree Celsius, two notches below the season's average.
A thick blanket of smog had engulfed the city after Diwali festivities, leading to poor visibility conditions across the capital.
However, Safdarjung observatory today recorded visibility at 500 metres at 8.30 AM.
According to India Meteorological Department (IMD), humidity level recorded till 8.30 AM was 86 per cent which slightly caused discomfort to the Delhiites.
An official of the department has predicted clear skies throughout the day.
"The skies will remain clean and maximum temperature is expected to settle at 31 degrees Celsius," the official said.
The minimum temperature was yesterday recorded at 15.5 degrees Celsius while the maximum was recorded at 31 degrees Celsius.
