Cold wave conditions prevailed in most parts of Rajasthan as minimum temperature dropped by 1 to 7 degrees Celsius due to western disturbances and snowfall in hilly areas, the Met department said Tuesday.
Churu was the coldest place in the state at the minimum of 0.4 degrees Celsius, followed by 5.3 degrees Celsius in Ajmer, 6 in Dabok, 6.9 in Jaipur, 7 in Kota, 7.1 in Bikaner, 7.8 in Sriganganagar, 8.0 in Jodhpur, 8.6 in Jaisalmer and 9.7 degree Celsius in Barmer, the weatherman said.
Cold wave condition was witnessed in Bhilwara, Tonk, Pilani, Jhunjhunu, Sikar and Churu districts, he said.
The Met department has predicted the cold wave condition to prevail in the state with further drop in the minimum temperature at several places in next 24 hours.
