Cold wave conditions prevail in Pb, Hry; Amrtisar coldest at

Amritsar reeled at 1.2 degrees Celsius as the ongoing cold wave conditions prevailing in Punjab and Haryana for the past three weeks continued unabated today.
The minimum temperature hovered in the range of 1-5 degrees Celsius at most places, a Meteorological official said here.
Amritsar in Punjab was the coldest place in the two states, recording two notches below the normal minimum temperature.
Freezing cold also swept Adampur, which recorded a low of 2.4 degrees Celsius, while Halwara reeled at a low of 2.9 degrees Celsius.
Piercing cold also swept Bathinda, which registered a low of 3.5 degrees Celsius. Pathankot, too, experienced a cold night at 4.4 degrees Celsius.
The respective minimum temperature at Patiala and Ludhiana settled at 6.3 degrees Celsius and 7.6 degrees Celsius.

Cold weather conditions also persisted in Sirsa, where the minimum temperature settled at 4.2 degrees Celsius.
Rohtak and Ambala recorded respective minimum temperatures of 5.6 degrees Celsius and 5.8 degrees Celsius.
