The Safdarjung observatory which is considered the official figure for the city recorded 6.4 mm of rainfall.
Observatories in Lodhi Road, Ayanagar, the Ridge and Palam received 5.6 mm, 5.8 mm, 6.1 mm and 7.9 mm rainfall, respectively.
The maximum temperature in the city was recorded at 13.2 degrees Celsius which was eight notches below the season's average and 4.2 degrees less than yesterday's day temperature. It was also the coldest December 22 in the last five years.
The weatherman has predicted similar weather till tomorrow evening after which the sky is likely to get clear.
