It has been written by Trevorrow along with his 'Jurassic World' scribe Derek Connolly, reported Ace Showbiz.
The film follows a UN worker in a department that was to represent humankind in the event of alien contact. The man falls in love with a mysterious woman who turns out to be an alien.
It's based on 'The Ambassador', an earlier concept Trevorrow and Connolly originally plotted as a sequel for their debut movie 'Safety Not Guaranteed'.
'Jurassic World' is scheduled to arrive in North America on June 12. Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Vincent D'Onofrio, Irrfan Khan, Judy Greer, and Jake Johnson are among the cast members.
