College launches incubation centre

In its new initiative to provide practical knowledge of banks and trade, Nehru College of Management here has launched an incubation centre for its students, having a Bank and a Store.
The Bank 'Nehru Mint' and a convenience store 'Needs'' will be managed by MBA and MCA students of the college, which would help provide practical knowledge for them for running the business, a college release said today.
The students will deposit the money in the bank, by raising capital from them, with MCA students developing a software, by which they can test and do a trial on day to day basis. Besides, they can learn and understand the practical difficulties of developing a software and implementation for a Bank, it said.
The Bank was inaugurated by Mohan Raj, Regional Manager, Syndicate Bank, on January 12 during a function, in the presence of Dr.P.Krishnakumar, CEO and Secretary of the college.
