Police said Dr Shatrughan Sinha, the Principal of Raiganj College was admitted to hospital along with the college non-teaching employee association Secretary Subrata Chakraborty after both were injured during a scuffle inside the Principal's chamber.
The association went to meet the Principal to discuss some issues, related to college administration, and altercation began soon afterwards.
Local hospital sources said the injuries to both were minor in nature.
