Police sub-inspector D B Mukne of the Kapurbawdi told PTI that since November 2013 he had developed a friendship with the girl.
According to the girl's complaint, the accused Vaibhav Vishnu Ajgekar, a Dadlani Park resident repeatedly raped her on several occassions and also videographed these proceedings, which he stored on his laptop computer.
The police official said that the youth has been charged under Section 376, Section 341, Section 323, Section 324, Section 504 and Section 506(2) of the Indian Penal Code, besides Section 66 B of the Information Technology Act.
As per the girl's complaint, on May 22, he took her to his house, held her captive as well as beat her up black and blue after she refused to give in to his wishes.
He also held a knife to her neck and threatened to kill her after which he throttled her as well as bit her on both her breasts and abdomen.
He enjoyed her suffering and allegedly did not allow her to leave his bedroom where he held her captive and tortured her, the girl's complaint said.
