The victim is a 2nd year student of Solan Sanskrit college and the main accused is also a student of a private institution, police said.
According to the girl's father, she went missing from her house on Tuesday evening and when her mother repeatedly called her on her mobile, she did not respond.
"At last we received a call from a boy who mishehaved with us and before leaving for Solan, we contacted the SP and even gave him the mobile number of the boy but no action was taken," the victim's father said.
When the girl was dropped off by the accused, her father took her to the police station and told police that she had been sexually harassed.

He alleged that had the police been sensitive and taken prompt action, his daughter could have been rescued.
SP (Solan) Ramesh Chhajta said police received a complaint last night from girls's father that his daughter was missing and came to the police with his daughter in the morning and complained about sexual harassment.
