"Research is much talked about in fields of science, technology, innovation and e-governance. The benefits of the researches should reach farmers and peasants and help them uplift their lives," Gadkari said while addressing the 55th Convocation ceremony of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, yesterday.
He said it is the quality of the person that makes one great, not religion or a caste.
Citing different examples of researches, Gadkari said that if the studies of the students is for the benefit of poor, it would be their contribution in the development of the nation.
Vice chancellor Dr Balu Ananda Chopade delivered the introductory speech. Controller of Examination Dr Walmik Sarawade, acting registrar Dr Ganesh Manza, BCUD director Dr K V Kale, deans of various faculties, management council members were also present on the occasion.
