"The comedy was innocent in 80s. That time life was also very simple. Whatever comedy that happens now is not bad, but it has changed along with the world. The audience has changed and accordingly we can see the difference in this genre," said Sulbha, who has acted in films like 'Kal Ho Na Ho', 'Yuvraj' and 'Nautanki Sala'.
"If you cross the boundary line then its wrong, if basic values are kept intact then it is fine. We should not cross 'Lakshman Rekha' while doing comedy just because we want audience to laugh," said the actress, who will be featuring in upcoming Marathi movie 'Guru Pornima', scheduled for release on September 12.
"Television that time was not a technically advanced field. Now we have artistes, technically advanced people who can recreate the magic of that serial," she said.
Sulbha, who has also worked in tele soaps like 'Filmy Chakkar', said her role in serial 'Detective Wagle' with Aanjjan Srivastav could not match with that of Bharati Achrekar, who had acted as his wife in the season one.
