The three-day exhibition from September 12-14 is the first Pop culture event organised post the joint venture announced today between Comic Con India and Reed Exhibitions. Visitors can lay their hands on merchandise related to these popular characters, among others.
Pop culture relates to modern popular culture transmitted via the mass media and aimed particularly at younger people. It comprises segments like publishing, television, films, gaming, merchandise, toys and music.
"We have entered into this strategic tie-up for us to take the next step and create world-class shows. We will be able to work with the Reed network and bring in a lot more companies. We are expecting 30,000-35,000 visitors in the September show," Comic Con India Founder Jatin Varma told PTI.
ReedPOP is a 100 per cent subsidiary of Reeds Exhibitions, part of the FTSE listed Reed Elsevier Group.
The exhibition is being held at the White Pocket Convention Centre in Bangalore. The ticket is priced at Rs 300 per day. However, online buyers can avail discount and buy tickets at Rs 250 per day. Besides, a limited number of VIP tickets are available for Rs 650. The VIP tickets provide access to all three days of the exhibition and buyers also get goodies like discount coupons, etc.
