"To make this proposal effective, an interim Bengal TT (Table Tennis) Ad-hoc Committee should be constituted for one year to expedite the unification process and to streamline the TT activities in the state," the committee chairman and state's Panchayat Minister Subrata Mukherjee said.

Submitting his proposals to the state's Sports Minister Madan Mitra, Mukherjee even suggested that this ad-hoc committee should consist of 11 members taking two members each from all three TT associations, three members from West Bengal State Council of Sports, one member recommended by BOA and the remaining one representing the state government.

A delegation of the ad-hoc committee should also meet Union Sports Minster Ajay Maken to apprise him about the proposed unification of three TT Associations in the state and seek his cooperation to implement the proposal.

"The TTFI should be informed about the proposal and the action taken to unify the three associations for necessary action", the committee said.

Mukherjee urged Mitra to ensure that all TT players of Bengal are permitted to participate in any tournament held in the state and at the national-level championships.
