The current law and order situation in Rajasthan is such that the common man no longer feels safe in the state, BJP state president Vasundhara Raje alleged today as she kept up her attack on the Ashok Gehlot government during her 'Suraj Sankalp Yatra'.
Referring to the gruesome murder recently of a senior customs officer in the state capital, Raje said such incidents were evidence of the deteriorating law and order situation in Rajasthan. She was addressing a rally at Ratangarh.
Customs deputy director Sriram Meena, who was found murdered in his house on June 10, was also said to be related to the Rajasthan Director General of Police.
Raje said that when the relative of the seniormost police officer in the state could be murdered at his residence, how would the common man be able to feel secure under the Gehlot government.
"Jaipur is now famous for chain snatching incidents... girls are not safe (in the city)," she further alleged.
