Corporates will make over 10,000 job offers to students of industrial training institutes (ITIs) on July 15 to mark World Youth Skills Day.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who will launch the Skill India campaign on that day, will present token job offers to some students.
More than 10,000 students from various ITIs in the country will be given job offers by private companies, Rajesh Agarwal, Jt Secretary, Ministry of Skills Development and Entrepreneurship, said.
Besides, Modi will also launch a slew of initiatives at a mega event as part of the Skill India campaign here on July 15, on the occasion of the first-ever World Youth Skills Day.
The initiatives to be launched include the National Skill Development Mission, unveil the new National Policy for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship 2015, and roll out on all-India basis the Ministry's flagship scheme, Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana - PMKVY - the pilot phase of which has already begun.
"The job offers are being given by companies such as Bosch, Tata Motors, Maruti, Reliance, etc to ITI passouts. Token job offers will be presented in Vigyan Bhawan while other job offers will be presented on campuses," NSDC MD & CEO Dilip Chenoy said.

A 'Skill Loan' scheme will also be launched at the event, where loans from Rs 5,000-1.5 lakh will be available to around 34 lakh youth who seek to attend skill development programmes over the next five years.
Minister for Skill Development & Entrepreneurship Rajiv Pratap Rudy said the PMKVY will skill 24 lakh youth across India over the next one year.
"For the first time, the skills of young people who lack formal certification, such as workers in India's vast unorganised sector, will be recognised through an initiative known as Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), who will have a chance to be assessed and certified for the skills that they already possess. 10 lakh youth will be certified under PMKVY's RPL category over the next one year," Rudy pointed out.
He further said that over 1.7 lakh employability certificates will also be offered to persons on behalf of the NCVT (National Council for Vocational Training) on July 15.
Moreover, 5,000 skill cards will be given to people who have completed training in the pilot phase of the PMKVY.
"The skill card is a certificate in the form of a card. It will be given to everyone getting certified under the PMKVY. The certificate has been miniaturised and given the form of a laminated skill card," Chenoy said.
The Skill Loan Scheme has been linked with the Credit Guarantee Fund for skill development, set up with an initial corpus of Rs 500 crore, which was "grossly underutilised".
"The scheme would be announced on July 15. It will give loans to individuals for skilling. We have to work out the next modalities. Corpus size is currently Rs 500 crore. We plan to enhance it to Rs 1,000 crore," Rudy said.
A senior official told PTI that loans worth a paltry Rs 60 crore were sanctioned under the the Credit Guarantee Fund Scheme for Skill Development (CGSSD), launched by the UPA government.
The National Mission will converge, coordinate, implement and monitor skilling activities across India. It will also be a vehicle to achieve the objectives of the National Policy for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship 2015.
