Competent authority's approval must for affidavit in Punjab

Punjab Government has issued an order that no affidavit would be submitted in courts without prior approval of the competent authority.
Disclosing it here today, an official spokesman said that it has come into the notice that in various cases, approval had not been taken from the competent authority resulting losses to the exchequer along with tarnishing the image of the government.
The spokesman said that a letter has been issued in this regard to all Additional Chief Sectaries/Financial Commissioner/ Principal Secretaries/ Commissioners of Divisions and all Deputy Commissioners of the State to ensure compliance of these instructions.
