Complaint about phone tapping of politicians, bureaucrats

Government has received complaint relating to tapping of phones of some industrialists, bureaucrats and politicians by a private telecom company, Rajya Sabha was informed today.
Minister of State for Home Hansraj Ahir in reply to a written question acknowledged that such a complaint has been received by the government.
"A complaint regarding illegal and unauthorized interception, tapping and recording of phone calls of several persons was received and the government has directed the Delhi Police to conduct a preliminary inquiry into the matter," he said.
