The complaint was lodged with Kolikot police station by a contractor Ravindra Kumar's employees Amrendra Kumar and Dinesh Kumar charging the JD(U) MLA with demanding money, Superintendent of Police Ranjeet Kumar Mishra said.
Mishra said he had asked Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Poonam Kumari to probe the matter.
Alam, who represents Thakurganj assembly seat, has also lodged a complaint against the contractor charging the latter with making baseless allegation against him for exposing corruption in construction works by the contractor, the SP said.
