In a written reply to the House, Minister for Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation Kumari Selja said today, "Whenever reports on irregularities are received by the government, the same are forwarded to the state governments for investigation and remedial actions."
Out of 11 complaints, six have been registered in Uttar Pradesh followed by one each in Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, Odisha and Kerala.
Selja told the House that regarding cases in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand and Maharashtra, complaints have been forwarded to the state governments for investigation and remedial actions.
For rest of the cases, monitoring agencies have been deputed for fact finding exercises.
"In serious complaints, monitoring agencies are deputed for fact finding following which state and union territories are requested to take further investigation and action, if required," Selja said.
