Comprehensive transportation plan for Sambalpur

In a bid to improve the traffic scenario here which has already been accorded the status of a municipal corporation, a comprehensive transportation plan will be prepared shortly.
The civil engineering department of the Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT) at Burla will be assigned with the job to prepare the comprehensive plan.
Giving this information, Sambalpur Superintendent of Police, Akhileswar Singh, said "we have already discussed with the department regarding the plan."
He also expressed optimism that the implementation of a well prepared plan would bring change in the traffic scenario of the old city.
Professor of the civil engineering department of the Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology, Burla, Sudhansu Sekhar Das said, "we had a discussion with the district collector in this regard. We have agreed in principle to prepare the transportation plan for the city. However, it is at a preliminary level.
