Over a month ago, Special Court judge M S Balakrishna had directed the IT department of Tamil Nadu to produce certain documents which have not been furnished till date, taking note of which the court gave the direction.
Evidence of eight defence witnesses was recorded today and two other defence witnesses were cross examined.
The evidence of 56 witnesses has been recorded so far in the case in which Jayalalithaa is facing charges that she accumulated wealth to the tune of Rs 66.65 crore disproportionate to her known sources of income when she was Chief Minister for the first time from 1991 to 1996.
