Conduct field visits and redress grivances: Raje to DCs

In a bid to improve people-connect, Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje has directed all District Collectors to conduct field visits regularly to assess ground level situation regarding issues related to water, power and seasonal diseases.
At a meeting yesterday, she directed the officials to give priority to drinking water issues and seasonal diseases, and asked them to hold night-stay in villages and towns to closely monitor people's problems and situation, a spokesperson said.
Raje also said that the government would give more financial powers to the officials in the future so that they can execute their work more efficiently and effectively, the spokesperson said.
The CM said the government wanted to strengthen grievance redressal system and asked the collectors to ensure that complaints in their respective districts are addressed.
The District Collectors apprised the Chief Minister of issues related to water and power supply and their efforts to improve situation in their respective districts.
Chief Secretary Rajiv Mehirshi, ACSs C S Rajan, Rakesh Verma, Principal Secretary (Medical and Health) Deepak Upreti were also present in the meeting.
