Shekher had filed two petitions, seeking directions to the Commissioner of Police to register a case on the basis of a complaint sent through e-mail along with providing him 'with sufficient safety and security.'
The actor submitted he was a diploma holder in engineering, director, artist and editor of Tamil magazine 'Naradhar.' He was also Board member in Central Board of Film Certification.
Though he e-mailed a complaint against the director to police, he had not been provided security. Because of these threat calls, there was a threat to his life, said Shekher.
The Public Prosecutor opposed providing police security to Shekher, saying necessary action would be taken if the actor provided a fresh petition to the crime branch.
Justice R Subbiah directed Shekher to file a fresh complaint within a week. The crime branch would then conduct an inquiry and take necessary steps. The Police Commissioner could consider his plea for personal security by granting a personal hearing, the judge said.
