The opposition party said instead of answering questions on issues like price rise, governance, corruption and terrorism, confronting the common man, Rahul raised questions instead and said "Modiphobia" was clearly visible in his comments.
Hitting out at Rahul for his talk of empowering the Gram Pradhan, the BJP said the Congress during the past nine years has disempowered the Prime Minister and this has led to the growing crisis.
"It was confusion confounded. It was also a lacklustre speech without any direction or clarity. And Modiphobia was also clearly visible," BJP Spokesperson Prakash Javadekar said.
Javadekar said, "Rahul talks about the empowerment of Gram Pradhan but actually what Congress has done in last nine years and that is why the crisis in growing, is that they have disempowered the Prime Minister."

He said the BJP has been saying this right from 2004 that here is a Prime Minister who is in office but not in power.
The BJP leader said Rahul was a "confused leader" who presented his "confused ideology which nobody could understand".
In comments that may be seen as an attack on Narendra Modi at the CII meet, Rahul said alienation of minorities hurts the country's growth as he reached out to the industry for parternship in building a "brave empowered new India" with inclusiveness and compassion.
