The Congress today appointed new chiefs of four district and three city units in Gujarat.
The appointments were made by party president Rahul Gandhi, it said in a release here.
Vinubhai Amipara has been appointed as head of the Junagadh city unit, Kaushik Shah as Gandhinagar city unit chief and Parimal Thakkar as Porbandar city unit chief.
Harendra Valand has been appointed head of the Narmada district unit, Arjun Sosa as head of Amreli, Yajuvendrasinh Jadeja of Kutch and Ramesbhai Mer of Botad district units.
The appointments were made to strengthen the organisation in view of 2019 elections, a state Congress leader said.
