Union Minister Ram Shanker Katheria today said Congress is "breathing its last" as people of the country want BJP and Assembly election results of Jharkhand and Jammu and Kashmir have reflected this.
"After Jharkhand and J&K Assembly election results it is clear that people want a Congress-free country. Congress which has slipped on the popularity graph is breathing its last. People of the country want BJP government," the Minister of State for HRD said while talking to reporters here.
Regarding the constituency of Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi, Katheria said development was "not visible".
On being asked if the party is cornering Rahul, he said, "There is no need for it as people themselves have maintained a distance from the Congress leader."
Regarding BJP's stand on land deals of Sonia Gandhi's son-in-law Robert Vadra, Katheria said the party's intention is clear and that the law is taking its course.
Katheria was here to induct a member in the party.
