Cong councillor now joins TMC

In a boost to the Trinamool Congress in Kolkata Municipal Corporation, the Congress councillor from ward no 135 today joined the ruling dispensation swelling its number.
The councillor Akhtari Nizami, from ward no 135 in Metiabruz area came to the chamber of Mayor Sovan Chatterjee and announced he was joining TMC immediately.
With this the numerical strength of the TMC in the civic board has gone upto 118 of the 144 seats, the party said.
This included three Independents and now Nizami.
