Petrol and diesel prices should be made available at Rs 30.99 and Rs 24.61 per litre, respectively, Congress spokesman Ajay Maken said.
The government had yesterday cut petrol price by Rs 2 per litre and diesel by Rs 0.50 a litre, the third reduction in rates this month on fall in global oil rates.
Following yesterday's reduction, petrol is now available at Rs 61.20 per litre in Delhi and diesel Rs 44.45 per litre.
He said there has been a 56.6 per cent drop in global oil rates as compared to last year when petrol was being sold at Rs 71.41 and diesel Rs 57.71 per litre. That time global crude prices were 108 US Dollars and now they are 46.88 US Dollars, Maken said.
