The Congress today launched an outreach programme -- 'Shakti' -- to connect with grassroots workers in Rajasthan.
'Shakti', to be launched across the country, will function as a communication bridge between Congress president Rahul Gandhi and booth-level workers.
Avinash Pande, AICC general secretary and in-charge of party affairs in Rajasthan, said the project would help create a data base of party workers and strengthen the organisation.
State Congress president Sachin Pilot said that one would have to send an SMS containing his/her voter ID number to a mobile number released under the project and the information will be included in the partys data base after verification.
He said that the party through this technological intervention will connect with all the workers and hold dialogue.
This will be a genuine and authentic database and not like that of the BJP of miss-call to misguide, he said, referring to the BJP's campaign to induct members.

This will also help the party in preparing political road map. The initiative is important looking at the upcoming assembly polls (in Rajasthan)," he said.
He said that the BJP was losing all bypolls and that Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje has no "moral right" to continue in office.
Commenting on Prime Minister Narendra Modis visit to Jhunjhunu today, Pilot said that he only delivered speech and did not make any announcement or package for the state.
