Cong leader dies of heart attack after witnessing mishap

A local Congress leader died of a heart attack after witnessing an accident where a private mini bus turned turtle, killing two persons and injuring 30 others at Ariyallur in Malappuram district, police said today.
The bus driver lost control of the vehicle after it reportedly developed a technical snag, they said.
Congress leader Sathyanandan (57), who saw the mishap collapsed and died of a heart attack, they said.
The bus was plying between Chaliyam and Parappanangadi when the mishap occurred.
The injured were treated at nearby hospitals and some of them were discharged later.
