The Congress in Arunachal Pradesh today organized a candle light procession here to remember the people who, the party claimed, died because of the demonetisation.
The candle light march was organized to pay tribute to the 105 souls who lost their lives because of note ban, AICC secretary Jay Kumar said.
The BJP government at the Centre must be ashamed of ruling the country after the death of those people and should resign on moral ground, he said.
"It is one of the biggest blunders made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi," Kumar said as the party observed the first anniversary of the demonetization exercise as 'black day'.
The BJP is saying that terror funding has stopped due to demonetisation but still jawans are dying in Jammu and Kashmir, he added.
