A case was registered against Chandna last night, and later transferred to CID Crime branch for investigation.
Chandna and eight other MLAs were suspended yesterday for indiscipline and disrupting the House proceedings while raising the issue of lathicharge on Youth Congress workers during an agitation near the Assembly building here.
PCC president Sachin Pilot and Chandna also received injuries in the protest against deteriorating law and order situation, hike in power tariff and other issues.
When the din continued, Government Chief Whip Kalulal Gujar moved a proposal of suspension of the nine MLAs which was passed by voice vote following which the Speaker ordered the Marshal to take the suspended MLAs out of the house.
The case was registered against the MLA and others under sections 143 (punishment for unlawful assembly), 149 (every member of unlawful assembly guilty of offence committed in prosecution of common object), 332 (voluntarily causing hurt to deter public servant from his duty), police said.
