Cong nominee set to be elected as MLC

Congress nominee M S Prabhakar Rao is set to be elected as MLC in the biennial elections to the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council from Hyderabad Local Authorities' constituency.
He was the only candidate to file his nomination as the deadline for filing nominations ended today, an official release said.
It was speculated earlier that the city-based MIM might put up its candidate for the poll as it had severed its ties with the ruling Congress recently.
However, Prabhakar Rao was the only candidate to file his nomination and would get elected unopposed.
