Union Minister Ashwini Choubey today accused the Congress of politicising incidents of rape and said a tough ordinance has been promulgated to deal with such crimes.
He also said the Congress will be wiped out in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections and the BJP-led NDA will win with two-third majority.
"The Congress is unnecessarily politicising incidents such as rape. A tough law has been made and rapists of minors will be awarded death penalty. Strict laws can only be effected under the BJP rule," the minister told reporters here yesterday.
Hitting out at Congress president Rahul Gandhi, Choubey said though he dreams of becoming prime minister in 2019, his party will not even have four seats after the polls next year.
"The NDA will win with two-third majority and the Congress will be wiped out in the next year's Lok Sabha polls. The Congress will not even be able to retain four people (seats)," he said.
Criticising Gandhi over his challenge to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for a one-on-one debate, the minister alleged the Congress chief hardly comes to Parliament.

He claimed that the Congress's love for Dalits was fake.
"Rahul Gandhi was born with a golden spoon, he doesn't know poverty, whereas our prime minister has faced poverty in his real life, so he understands what it is to be a poor man," Choubey said.
The Union Minister alleged that the Congress has always opposed oppressed communities and Dalits.
