Mahila Congress chief Shobha Oza was today subjected to a host of queries on the matter during her maiden briefing after being appointed as one of the party spokespersons.
"Do you find the Government serious in appointing a judge as it is almost a month that it has announced the inquiry? Do you see the Home Minister responsible for the delay? Any explanation of the Home Minister is called for?"--were among the questions asked to the spokesperson.
Oza downplayed the delay while voicing hope that the government will announce the name of the judge soon. She also suggested that it was not the party's aim that the inquiry report should come before the Lok Sabha polls which are three months away.
On December 26 last year, government had announced appointment of a commission of inquiry into the "snooping" on a woman in Gujarat allegedly at the behest of BJP Prime Ministerial candidate Modi.
