"I would request you to clarify your position preferably before October 7. If there is no response from you by October 7, it will be confirmed that you stand by your announcement and you have resigned from the Congress party," AICC general secretary in-charge of Haryana told the MP in a tersely-worded letter.
Ahmed also reminded him that "neither the PCC nor AICC has received your resignation till now" and noted that "public announcement of resignation from the party is a serious issue."
Singh, the bete noire of Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, has been sulking for quite some time especially after he was removed from the Union Council of Ministers about two years back.
He was in the limelight last month when he demanded a fair probe into the land deals of Vadra in his constituency on the outskirts of Delhi and punishment if he was guilty.
