Cong seeks HC leave for Foundation Day rally at Shivaji Park
Press Trust of India Mumbai Mumbai unit of Congress today moved the Bombay High Court, challenging the decision of Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai which has denied it a permission to hold a rally at the Shivaji Park here on December 28, the party's foundation day.
Advocate Dharmesh Vyas, Mumbai Congress general secretary, filed an application in this regard today. It may be heard next week.
MCGM rejected the party's application in view of the High Court's earlier order banning rallies at the sprawling ground which came in response to a public interest litigation.
