"The party is keen to unveil a 'people's manifesto' for the Panchayat elections based on hopes, aspirations and suggestions of the public," Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) president, Prasad Harichandan, said.
Opinions and suggestions from all sections of the society, particularly people living in rural areas, should be obtained in order to make the panchayati raj system truly transparent, accountable and people-oriented, he said.
Congress is committed to strive for providing social justice to people at the grassroots level and ensuring their socio-economic development, he said in a statement.
Villagers should be able to enjoy the fruits of development in a corruption-free environment, he said requesting the public to send their views on different issues.
Views and suggestions can be mailed to odishapradeshcongress2016@gmail.Com.
People can also send letters to the Congress Bhawan, Bhubaneswar-9, he added.
