Raising the issue during Question Hour, Arif Aqueel (Congress) wanted to know from the government what happened to the laptop, camera and photographs seized by the state police after the murder.
He also sought a reply from the government as to why it was silent on these issues, especially on the polygraph test report of an MLA while chargesheet in the case was already filed in the court.
Replying to the question, state Home Minister Uma Shankar Gupta said only on the demand of the Opposition Congress the matter was handed over to CBI for probe and it would be proper if these questions were put to it.
Intervening in the matter, state Urban Administration and Development Minister Babulal Gaur said since the matter is sub judice, it cannot be discussed in the Assembly.
However, when Aqueel remarked that the ruling party and its members were associated with the case and they were putting pressure in this regard, the treasury benches took strong objection to it and the House witnessed noisy scenes.
Speaker Ishwardas Rohani then ruled that no member can level allegations in the House on the basis of newspaper reports on the issue.
