She said BJP will raise the issue but asked Congress to answer the nation on the issue. "It is expected that when such a humongous scam is brought to fore, there will be investigation but given Congress' response to such matters, one cannot say with confidence that a very balanced and a very thorough investigation will take place," Irani told reporters.
She "it is for Congress to respond to the nation as to why Robert Vadra, being the son-in-law of Sonia Gandhi, managed to benefit monetarily from a company".
Irani said she had never seen a consumer take an unsecured loan from a builder to purchase a flat in the builder's compound. "Find me one flat buyer in the entire country who has received such support and such facility from a builder," she said.
Viewing rise in prices including that of LPG as "anti- women", she said BJP will hold nation-wide protest on October 12 during which the party will also raise the issue of scams that have hit the government.
Irani, who is BJP mahila morcha President, said the decision was taken at the BJP National Council meeting to protest against the "anti-women" steps taken by the government.
"It was decided at the BJP National Council that Mahila Morcha wing of the party will protest against this anti-women policy of Congress-led UPA. Hence, on October 12, the anniversary of our leader Vijayaraje Scindia, Mahila morcha will organise protests all over the country," Irani told reporters here today.
