As the Question Hour ended in 20 minutes after the Congress legislators did not ask the questions listed against their names, Leader of Opposition Sunil Jakhar demanded revocation of the suspension of nine party MLAs.
Jakhar said, "Whatever happened on Wednesday was unfortunate. It should not have happened."
The Leader of Opposition, however, did not tender any apology or regret in the House even though Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal wanted the Congress MLAs to apologise to the House.
Badal said, "We want the Congress MLAs to apologise for their behavior in the House and in the Assembly complex. In case they apologise we have no objection to the suspension of the nine Congress MLAs being revoked."
