"Nctc (counter terrorism) is dangerous & anti federal when Modi is CM & BJP in opposition. It's desirable when Modi in power! Wah u turn Sarkar," Congress spokesman Abhishek Singhvi tweeted.
Echoing a similar view, another party spokesman Sanjay Jha tweeted: "ANOTHER brazen U-turn by Modi Sarkar. BJP stalled progress on NCTC on pretext of 'disturbing federal structure'. Now suddenly, its OK. Joke!"
The Congress criticism came a day after Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju suggested that the apprehensions that the proposed NCTC and the National Investigation Agency (NIA) Act would hurt the country's federal structure were unfounded.
