"We will seek Chief Minister Oommen Chandy's intervention in the matter and to convene a meeting of all concerned to solve the issue", Presidents of Kozhikode and Mallapuram DCCs K C Abu and E Muhammed Kunju respectively told reporters here today.
The Airport Authority of India needed 357 acres for the expansion of the Kozhikode airport. But the acquisition could not materialise as the state and central government authorities failed to provide suitable alternative for the people whose lands were sought to be acquired, they said.
