The Congress would approach courts against the expulsion of two of its MLAs from the Legislative Assembly, Telangana Congress president N Uttam Kumar Reddy said today.

The disciplinary action was taken without following due procedures, he alleged at the venue of the 48-hour 'satyagraha' by the two expelled MLAs Komatireddy Venkata Reddy and SA Sampath Kumar, here this evening.

"We will also approach the court of people," he added.

The PCC president, Leader of Opposition K Jana Reddy and other party leaders offered juice to the two leaders to end their fast.

The two were expelled for "unruly" behaviour during the governor's address to the joint sitting of the legislature on March 12.

Taking exception to the attack on Congress by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, the PCC president said it was the Congress which gave separate statehood for Telangana.

It was congress governments which built irrigation projects and also developed the city of Hyderabad, he added.
