Each and every political party is supposed to pass through a phase of revival. Similarly Congress is also contemplating on newer ways to deliver to the masses, he said.
He was talking to reporters yesterday after convocation ceremony at Institute of Management Technology (IMT) campus here at Ghaziabad.
Upon a query regarding unemployment, the Congress leader said that with the launch of MGNREGA, employment opportunities in rural areas were enhanced and its success rate was around 80 per cent, and urged the Narendra Modi government to provide thrust to the progamme.
Padma Bhushan awardee businessman and parliamentarian Rahul Bajaj who was present at the convocation, said providing subsidy is the main obstacle in the country's development.
Quoting example of China, Bajaj said that its exchequer is bountiful to finance for its infrastructure development projects. As China does not provide subsidy on any count, Indian government must also abolish subsidy on diesel, questioning the subsidy for luxury car owners of affluent class who enjoy it.
