Police said district Congress General Secretary Narendra Nath Tiwary has alleged that Choudhury had issued threats against his party workers during a visit to the area this afternoon.
Choudhury had gone to the area in connection with yesterday's clash there between TMC and Congress workers in which one person was injured.
Congress workers also alleged in the FIR that Choudhury had distributed cash among voters in the area ahead of the fifth phase of the Panchayat polls on July 25.
